Synthesis and resistance-temperature characteristics of perovskite ceramics of NTC thermistors

Description
Four compositions with the perovskite structure La0.7Sr0.3Zr0.5Co2+0.2Co3+0.3O3, La0.8Sr0.2Ti0.5Co2+0.3Co3+0.2O3, La0.4Sr0.6Ti0.3Fe2+0.3Fe3+0.6O3 and Sr0.7Ce0.3FeO3 were investigated, designed for NTC thermistors. The optimal synthesis and sintering conditions for these compounds were determined. Resistance-temperature characteristics of ceramic samples were studied in the range from -55 to 400oC. Endurance tests were performed. The developed materials showed high temperature coefficients of resistivity (from -10.7 to -1.6 %/oC in the temperature range from 055 to 180oC) and a good stability.
