Neutron cross section measurements for the Fast Breeder Program
Description
This research was concerned with the measurement of neutron cross sections of importance to the Fast Breeder Reactor. The capture and total cross sections of fission products (101102104Ru, 143145Nd, 149Sm, 9597Mo, Cs, Pr, Pd, 107Pd, 99Tc) and tag gases (Kr, 7880Kr) were measured up to 100 keV. Filtered neutron beams were used to measure the capture cross section of 238U (with an Fe filter) and the total cross section of Na (with a Na filter). A radioactive neutron capture detector was developed. A list of publications is included
