Spectroscopic properties of Al(3), Ga(3) and In(3) complexes with quercetin

Description
The synthesis of new complex compounds of the metals of 3A group with quercetin of the composition M(OH)2C15H9O7x4H2O (M=Al, Ga, In) is described. Absorption spectra in ultraviolet, visible and infrared regions are investigated. Fluorescence and phosphorescence spectra of the complexes investigated are taken at room temperature and 77 K. It is shown that in methanol solutions at room temperature the complexes are characterized by fluorescence. However, at 77 K in neutral acidified methanol solutions (pH approximately equal to 5) the complexes are characterized by fluorescence and phosphorecsence. On the basis of derivatographic and spectral investigations conducted the structure of complexes of the 3A group metals with quercetin is suggested
