Cell killing and DNA double-strand breakage by DNA-associated 125I-decay or X-irradiation: implications for radiation action models
Description
The responses of diploid, tetraploid, and near-hexaploid V79 cells to X-irradiation or DNA-associated 125I-decay were compared. It is concluded that current models of radiation action are unable to explain the observed responses and chromosomal aberration evidence consistent with a new model is presented. (author)
