Multi-stage autoacceleration of an intense relativistic electron beam
Creators
- 1. Kanazawa Univ. (Japan). Department of Physics
Description
Two-stage autoacceleration was accomplished by using different length cavities. Two cavities were located with the distance longer than the beam duration. The electron kinetic energy increased from 500 to 700 keV at the first stage and from 700 to 900 keV at the second, while the beam duration decreased 10 to 5 ns at the first stage and 5 to 2.5 ns at the second.
