Phase equilibria and crystal structures of the compounds in the Zr-Li-{Ge, Pb} systems at 470 K
Creators
Description
The interaction of the components in the Zr-Li-Ge and Zr-Li-Pb ternary systems at 470 K was investigated over the whole concentration range by X-ray powder diffraction, and isothermal cross-sections of the phase diagrams have been constructed. Four new ZrLi4Ge2, Zr2Li0.5Ge0.5, ZrLi0.6Pb0.4 and ZrLi0.5Pb0.5 ternary compounds have been found in these systems. The crystal structures of the compounds ZrLi4Ge2 (CaCu4P2-type structure, space group R3-bar m), ZrLi0.6Pb0.4 (LiRh-type structure, space group P-bar m2) and ZrLi0.5Pb0.5 (CsCl-type structure, space group Pm-bar m) have been determined by X-ray powder diffraction. The structure of the compound Zr2Li0.5Ge0.5 (Zr2-xLix+ySi1-y-type structure, space group Cmcm) was investigated by X-ray single crystal diffraction
