Technique for reconstruction of the fastneutron pulsed flux spectrum parameters in the time-of-flight measurements

Description
Method for determining spectrum parameters of neutrons, emitted by laser plasma, with an account of measurement results obtained by integral time-of-flight spectrometer is presented. The calculations make it possible to optimize detector parameters and measurement conditions. Optimal length of flight base for the case of measuring ion temperature in the range of 1 keV is determined. It constituted 8 m for the detector, the proper signal width of which was 5,0 ns by neutron yield from deuterium-deuterium plasma of 4x106 and instrumental measurement error of 0.3 ns. Accuracy of determining ion temperature under these conditions equals 20%
