Search for the tri- and tetraneutron in reactions induced by 11B and 9Be ions on 7Li and 9Be
Description
The energy spectra of 15O, 14O and 12N nuclei have been measured in 11B(88 MeV)+7Li, 9Be(107)+9Be, 9Be+7Li reactions to obtain information about their partners 3n and 4n systems in reaction exit channel. The energy spectra are well described by many-body phase space curves. No indication about the existence of nuclear stable or quasibound states has been obtained. The small enhancement found in the spectra of 14O from 7Li(11B, 14O) reaction. Yet, due to the poor statistics insufficient to make any definite conclusion about the existence of bound ot unbound state 4n. Limit of production cross section of 4n is equal to 1nb/sr
