Results of 10th regular inspection of No.1 plant in Ikata Power Station, Shikoku Electric Power Co., Inc

Description

The 10th regular inspection of No.1 plant in Ikata Power Station was carried out from May 2 to August 16, 1989. The parallel operation was resumed on July 23, 1989, 83 days after the parallel off. The facilities which were the object of inspection were the reactor proper, reactor cooling system, measurement and control system, fuel facilities, radiation control facilities, waste facilities, reactor containment installation and emergency power generation system. On these facilities which were the object of inspection, the appearance, disassembling, leak, function, performance and other inspections were carried out. As the results, significant signals were observed in 12 heating tubes of steam generators, and significant indication was observed in 22 bolts of primary coolant pumps, but other abnormality was not found. The works related to this regular inspection were accomplished within the range of the dose equivalent limit based on the relevant laws. 12 defective heating tubes of steam generators were plugged.
