Description

The events and accidents which occurred during the past years at nuclear power plants underlined the importance of proper staff personnel training for operation and emergency conditions. Training must reinforce the strict application of emergency procedures by the operating crew working as a co-ordinated team. The Full-Scope Simulator (FSS) are the ideal and most elaborate tool to support such training. This paper presents the BAsic Principal SIMulator (BAPSIM) for CANDU 600. In combination with FSS it was used for a complementary training which do not need a real control room environment. The simplicity in handling gives a possibility to use this simulator even without a service staff. It can be used by groups or individuals
