Description
The first part of this document analyzes, first, the increased flexibility of the US nuclear dissuasion, then it makes a status of the ballistic and nuclear proliferation in Asia and in the Middle-East and shows the organization of the French nuclear dissuasion with respect to the evolution of the threat. The second part concerns the budget for 2003 devoted to the modernization of the dissuasion tool with the continuation of the main programs: modernization of the oceanic and air forces, front-end studies on nuclear safety and propulsion reactors, simulation program, and dismantling of the fissile materials production sites (Pierrelatte and Marcoule centers).
