Fundamentals of fusion reactor blanket chemistry, 1
- 1. Japan Atomic Energy Research Inst., Tokai, Ibaraki. Tokai Research Establishment
Description
In constituting the concept of a nuclar fusion reactor, comprehensive study of the blanket chemical behavior of reactor materials including nuclear-chemical and tritium-chemical aspects is necessary, along with the neutron-physical study and ahead of the nuclear engineering consideration. This report summarizes the criteria for problems treated in the subsequent parts. Problems are the selections of blanket structural material, tritium-fertile material, and also the methods of tritium separation, environmental-release protection and energy conversion. (auth.)
