Energy transfer in collisions of excited Na atoms with NO molecules

Description
Measurements of scattering angle and product velocity distributions are reported for a crossed molecular beam study of excited Na atoms and NO molecules. These results provide evidence that most of the electronic energy is partitional between relative translation and vibration of the NO molecule
