Evaluation of reservoir properties and oil and gas content in carbonate deposits from exploitation-geophysical data

The authors present results obtained through the use of localized lateral logging, pseudolaterologging, magnetic logging, sonic logging, density logging and impulse neutron-neutron logging to map carbonate reservoirs and to assess their reservoir characteristics and oil gas saturation. It is shown that by using these geophysical methods in the field one can achieve greater efficiency in the study of carbonate profiles. From geophysical data they establish the distribution patterns and capacities of porous carbonate reservoirs in Devonian deposits in the Volgograd region. (author)
