Development of neutron position-sensitive fission counter
- 1. Nagoya Univ. (Japan). School of Engineering
Description
Measurement of neutron flux distribution is important in the experiments using nuclear critical assembly, experimental reactor, or fuel processing system. Very slender position-sensitive fission counters to be able to insert them into narrow measurement holes were designed to have outer diameter down to 8 mm and sensitive length up to 100 cm. Characteristics of the fabricated counters were tested for sensitivity, position resolution, and the effect or γ-ray. (author)
