Vanadium-selective electrode

Description

The solid-phase electrode with an ion-sensitive electrode, made of a single crystal of vanadium oxide-sodium bronze, is selective to V(V) over a range of pH=1.0-2.0. The angle coefficient of the electrode function is (60.8+-0.7)mV/pcVO2 at pH=1. The electrode is rather selective in the presence of Mn, V, alkali and alkaline earth metals but less selective in the presence of Fe(3). A method is proposed of direct potentiometric determination of V in synthetic and technological solutions
