Hγ equivalent widths in the open cluster NGC 7243
Description
Measurements of the equivalent width of Hy are presented for 23 stars in the young open cluster NGC 7243. By using the M [W, (B - V)0] calibration of Balona and Crampton (1974) a cluster distance modulus of 9A j 0.1 (m.e.) has been determined. The Mv (p) calIbration of Crawford (1972) and the H calibration of Balona and Crampton are compared for NGC 7243 and the Pleiades.
