Features of mass distributions of hot rotating nuclei

Description
This review article completes a series of experimental investigations of mass-energy distributions of fragments produced in the fission of various nuclei from 119Xe to the 108th element that have excitation energies between 40 and 150 MeV. The problem of the real temperature of fissile nuclei following the emission of prefission particles, the character and degree of the effect exerted by the angular momentum on mass distributions, and the way in which dynamical effects may manifest themselves in the properties of fission products of hot rotating nuclei are discussed
