Equipment and process for automatic photoprocessing of new radiographic films

The problems of production of radiographic films suitable for automatic machine processing, and also the acceleration of film processing are discussed. In film production the attention was paid mainly to the improvement of their physical and mechanical properties by means of tanning of emulsion and protection layers. The study of a number of organic tanning agents demonstrated the greatest acceptability of tanning agents of acrylail type. During the development of the regime and the formula of accelerated processing of radiographic films the problem of obtaining the photographic properties which are not below those that are obtained during their manual processing in the standard developer was raised. A new composition of fixer for the automatic photoprocessing of films is developed. The main technological characteristics and the results of tests of an automatic machine for the photographic processing of radiographic films are presented
