Implications of dose averaging and other criteria for the control of occupational doses

In view of a revised risk factor for ionising radiation, agencies in several countries have suggested various methods of modifying occupational dose limits. The impact is assessed of several proposed new dose constraints on radiation workers, using Canadian data from the National Dose Registry. Analysis of the data suggests that only a small percentage of the workers would be affected. (author)
