Improvement of KHI FEL device at FEL-SUT
Description
The FEL energy of the KHI FEL device was improved to 65 mJ from 40 mJ by tuning of the vertical position (the same direction as the electron beam from the cathode) of the RF-gun cathode. This is due to the improvement of the beam emittance. In order to evaluate the FEL gain, the emittance is measured. The FEL gain which is calculated by using the measured parameters such as the emittance agrees with the value estimated from the rising time
