Study of grain interactions in longitudinal hard disk media
Creators
Description
The magnetization processes for a set of two samples of hard disk media were interpreted in the frame of a non-relaxing, scalar, generalized moving Preisach model. A satisfactory fit was obtained using a Gauss distribution of interaction fields and a Gumbel-type distribution of coercivities. The integral generalized ΔM plot was used for confirming the reliability of the obtained Preisach parameters. For the investigated samples, the grain interactions have a mean-field character
