New applications of the collision probability method in neutron transport theory

Creators

Description

The collision probability method has been applied to a wide spectrum of problems such as 'book strapping' existent collision probability codes with accurate collision probability transformations, solving source and eigenvalue problems with or without perturbations, suggesting simple practical formulae for estimating reactivity in critical control work, and analysing pulsed experiments in small systems. Numerous examples are given showing the practical performance of the different collision probability methods as well as comparisons with other methods. (author)
