Description

The aim of the invention is an examination device for a tube bundle of an apparatus such as, but not restrictively, a steam generator, situated in a dangerous zone, e.g. radioactive and designed to be introduced into the water box of the said and placed against the perforated plate of the tube bundle by an operator working outside of the said apparatus and able to operate whatever the vertical or horizontal position of the tube plate. The device has a selectively positionable tool - carrying vehicle comprising pistons positioning fingers extendable into the tubes and mounted on extendable supports perpendicular to the pistons and to each other, and an articulated telescopic arm fixed at one end to a rotary mounting on the vehicle and at the other end to an access opening in the vessel containing the tube plate, to hold the vehicle against the plate

Abstract (French)

L'objectif a atteindre est un dispositif d'exploration du faisceau tubulaire d'un appareil tel que, mais non limitativement, un generateur de vapeur, installe dans une zone dangereuse, par exemple radioactive et adapte pour etre introduit dans la boite a eau dudit appareil et positionne contre la plaque perforee du faisceau tubulaire par un operateur intervenant de l'exterieur dudit appareil et adapte pour pouvoir fonctionner quelle que soit la position verticale ou horizontale de ladite plaque. Le dispositif se compose d'un vehicule comportant des organes de transfert montes a coulissement dans un corps central et comportant de part et d'autre de celui-ci des verins s'etendant orthogonalement auxdits plans dans lesquels se deplacent lesdits organes et dont les tiges mobiles desdits verins comportent a leur extremite libre des doigts de positionnement, lequel vehicule est relie par des moyens de rotule, a un bras telescopique articule comportant des moyens de fixation a ladite ouverture d'acces de l'enceinte, lequel bras maintient le vehicule en permanence au cours de ses deplacements dans l'enceinte au contact de ladite plaque perforee
