Isothermal section of the Yb-Fe-B phase diagram at 1070 K

Description
Phase relations in the Yb-Fe-B system at 1070 K are studied by monocrystal and powder X-ray diffraction techniques. The existence of the two known ternary compounds in the Yb-Fe-B system is confirmed. The structure of YbFeB4 is refined by monocrystal X-ray diffraction: sp. gr. Pbam, YCrB4 type, a = 0.58437(4) nm, b = 1.1304(1) nm, c = 0.33520(4) nm; RF = 0.0222 and Rw = 0.0531 for 550 independent hkl reflections
Abstract (Russian)
Методами рентгеноструктурного и рентгенофазового анализов исследовано взаимодействие компонентов в системе Yb-Fe-B и построено изотермическое сечение диаграммы состояния при 1070 К. В системе подтверждено существование двух ранее известных двойных боридов; для YbFeB4 методом монокристалла уточнена структура: пр. гр. Pbam (структурный тип YCrB4), a = 0.58437(4) нм, b = 1.1304(1) нм, с = 0.33520(4) нм; 550 независимых рефлексов hkl, RF 0.0222, Rw = 0.0531Additional details
