Subthreshold K+ meson production in proton-nucleus reactions and nucleon spectral function

In this study we have performed an analysis of the total and differential K+ production cross sections from pC reactions in the near threshold and subthreshold energy regimes using an appropriate new folding model for primary and secondary production processes, which takes into account the struck target nucleon removal energy and momentum distribution (nucleon spectral function).
