Description

The dominant role is discussed of temperature in the process of failure formation in fuel assemblies under normal operating conditions. Detailed simulation of a random temperature field in an assembly conducted earlier was used for testing the random processes relative to the temperature limits. The reduction in the number of systematic errors in the resulting evaluation laads to more accurate values of the probabilities of failures to be determined. The application is discussed of the probability analysis in defining the zones of hydraulic temperature balancing in the core. (author)
