Description
We examine the case for J/ψ suppression as a signature for the quark-gluon plasma. The theoretical foundations are covered from the standpoint of the original proposal by Matsui and Satz, including Debye screening in the medium and the competing dilepton backgrounds. Also, more recent developments in both theory and experiment are summarized
