Description

For a study of cavity quantum electrodynamics, the atom-field interaction in a perfect cavity is simulated. White a two-level atom interacting with a single-mode field has been studied extensively, interaction of a few atoms with multimode fields has not been on a focus for various reasons including complication of the model. Evolution of a two-level atom interacting with many-mode fields is simulated for a study of spontaneous emission and its back action. Interaction of two-level atoms with multimode fields has been studied enlightening super- and sub-radiant spontaneous emission. The case of many two-level atoms interacting with multimode field has been studied toward an analysis of field propagation in a medium.
