Description

Passively Q-switched lasers are often optimized for maximum output energy, but it is necessary to optimize the peak power for some applications such as harmonic generation and nonlinear optics. We present the peak power optimization procedure to determine the optimum transmission of output coupler and absorber at a given pump intensity.
