Pyridinium hexanitratocerate(IV) pyridinium nitrate(1:2)
Description
2[(C6H5NH)2(NO3)]+ Ce(NO)2- crystallises in Space Group P21/c, a=10.085(1), b=13.829(2), c=13.242(2) A, β=96.56(1)0, Z=2. The structure was refined to R = 0.042 for 2189 reflexions and 322 refined parameters. The Ce(NO3)62- anion has pseudo-icosahedral geometry with the average value of Ce-O 2.498 A. The anion is disordered by rotation about the cerium atom. Both pyH+ ions hydrogen bond to the non-coordinated nitrate ion. Each pyH+ is disordered by an in-plane 30deg rotation. (orig.)
