Scheme for preparation of nonclassical motional states of trapped ions

A method to prepare nonclassical states of the motion of a trapped ion that interacts with a traveling wave light field has been proposed, which is based on modulation of the frequency of the traveling wave field. In the end, an experiment configuration about its preparation is proposed and discussed
