Automatic changer for 100 irradiated samples
Description
The neutron flux distribution in a reactor can be evaluated by measuring the activity of samples which have been previously irradiated inside it. The precision of the activity measurements requires: accurate positioning of the samples in front of the detectors; statistical accuracy in measuring each sample; equal statistical accuracy for all samples; decay time correction and background correction. All these can be achieved using the automatic sample changer and the electronic programming and control unit described in this paper
