Self consistent description of the interplay between shape and pairing deformations: static properties

Description
The competition between pairing and multipole fields is studied within the framework of a two-level model, employing different theoretical approaches. The importance of a a self-consistent treatment is clearly revealed. Special attention is payed to the microscopic mechanisms that take place when the system undergoes various phase transitions. Die Konkurrenz zwischen Paarbildungs- und Multipolfeldern wird im Rahmen eines Zweiniveaumodells und mit Hilfe verschiedener theoretischer Ansaetze untersucht. Die Bedeutung einer in sich stimmigen Behandlung tritt dabei klar zutage. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit wird den mikroskopischen Mechanismen gewidmet, die ablaufen, wenn das System verschiedene Phasenuebergaenge durchmacht. (orig.)Additional details
