Suitability of thermocouple psychrometers for studying moisture movement in unsaturated soils
Description
The possibility of using thermocouple psychrometers for studies of moisture movement in unsaturated soils has been investigated. Such probes have much broader range than most other suction probes. The general features of psychrometers are described. It was found that psychrometers are the most suitable devices now available for measuring suctions in relatively dry soils. 45 refs
