Description
Roentgenological and scintigraphic studies were performed in 25 patients with primary malignant bone tumors (osteosarcomas, chondro sarcomas, Ewing9s sarcoma, reticulosarcomas). Nine of these patients were followed up after radiation treatment. Scintigraphic examination has visualised the tumors earlier and the dimensions of the involved portion of the tumor appeared larger. This method helped also to detect earlier the changes following radiation treatment. The X-ray examination furnished a more precise information on the type of the tumor, on the characteristics of the changes in the effected zone of the bone and on the morphological patterns of the developing reparatory processes
