Description
A review of theoretical investigations, proving the hypothesis of scalar Higgs H-boson existence is given. The problems of standard Weinberg-Salam model applicability, describing low energy experiments, to the H-boson theory is considered. Experimental possibilities of H-boson search and K- and eta-meson decays, the problems of direct quark and gluon production of H-bosons and its decays in two gluons as well as Higgs procedure of mass generation are discussed. Suggested is a theory, introducing new strong interaction with a characteristic scale of mass and the energies of 1 TeV order, as an alternative to H-bosons is presented. It is concluded that Higgs procedure of mass generation, included into the Weinberg-Salam model, has played a great role in the development of physics of elementary particles. Search for Higgs bosons is the most important problem of the modern experiment
