Description
The 6th issue of the 'Commentary on the Pharmacopeia of the GDR' deals with radiopharmaceuticals applied in diagnostics and therapy. Introductory chapters comprise historical remarks and general aspects such as nuclear decay and measurement of radioactivity. The types for checking the identity of radiopharmaceuticals and the determination of their radionuclide content as well as the production of artifical radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals including purity tests are described. The application of the radiopharmaceuticals to the different organs is outlined. A list of the radiopharmaceuticals registered in the GDR and references complete the commentary
