Electronic conduction in CdF2:Gd3+ single crystals before and after electrical conversion
Description
The experimental results of Dellacasa for the dc conductivity of CdF2:Gd3+ monocrystals as a function of temperature, before and after electrical conversion from semi-insulating to semiconducting state, are analyzed by the aid of a small polaron hopping model introduced by Triberis. The effect of the electrical conversion process on the enhancement of the density of states is revealed
