Description
Reprocessing spent fuel elements, which reduces arisings of radioactive waste and helps to make economical use of resources, is one of the most important services in the closed nuclear fuel cycle. Recovering uranium and plutonium by reprocessing of course makes sense only if further use is made of these fissile materials. It is only the possibility to recycle U and Pu which justifies reprocessing and the entire nuclear fuel cycle. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
(orig.)Additional details
