Radiosterilization of medical equipment

Description

Present radiosterilization of medical equipment, especially in Japan, is outlined. The number of contaminants before and after radiosterilization, the D value of indicator bacteria, determination of the dose, the effect of radiation on medical equipment, and the process of radiosterilization are discussed. Radiosterilization will tend to increase in the future. It is important that it be used after the method and its merits and demerits are clearly understood. (Bell, E.)
