Formation enthalpy of silicon alloys with scandium in liquid state

Description
Using the calorimetry method the enthalpies of silicon and scandium mixing at 1820 K in the 0<xsUb(Sc)<0.1 range are determined. The Sc-Si liquid alloys are established to be formed with a considerable heat release, ΔH, at xsub(Sc)=0.92 equal to -19.4 kJ/gxatom
