Description

A blue variable BL Lac object exists at the centre of the radio galaxy PKS 0521-36, and its luminosity variations (1 mag) affect the integrated colours of the galaxy. The properties of the centre of the galaxy and the optical and radio jets in it are shortly discussed. (Auth.)
