Quality assurance in defence procurement

Description

Similarities and differences between the civil nuclear power industry and some of the industries in which the Ministry of Defence are concerned are referred to. The main developments in quality assurance policy of the Ministry of Defence in recent years are traced, particularly those in the quality-in-design field. The quality assurance standards adopted by the Ministry for contractors, their requirements for contractor assessment, and for sub-contracting are discussed. (U.K.)
