Description

The aim of the title invention is to increase the sensitivity for gamma and/or X-ray radiation of isotopes detected in minerals. The system applies a more sensitive crystal. It also uses the total energy spectrum for the analysis. The signal processing system is equipped with an A/D-converter which handles the electric signals from the detector unit and a first computer unit which processes the signals from the A/D-converter to determine the composition of the radioisotopes. 3 figs
