Coaxial plasma injector operating in a quasistationary mode

Description
A coaxial plasma injector is investigated under a quasistationary operational conditions on hydrogen with 0.1-4 g/s mass flow rate at < or approx. 30 kA discharge currents. Plasma parameters (potential, concentration, electron temperature) are measured inside the injector. It is shown that electrodynamic mechanism of plasma acceleration is not realizable for the given injector. Possible causes of the absence of such plasma acceleration are analyzed
