Solubility of UO2HPO4 in seawater

Description
Solubility of UO2HPO4 in seawater with salinity 35 % is studied experimentally. It is determined that nonlinear increase of U(VI) phosphates solubility takes part when seawater acidity decreases. That is caused by formation of strong hydroxide, carbonate and, probably, phosphate complexes. Dependence of solubility kinetics on seawater pH value is determined. It is proposed that U(VI) could be accumulated by sea phosphorites in the form of surface uranyl phosphate complexes as a result of chemisorption
Abstract (Russian)
Экспериментально изучена растворимость UO2HPO4 в морской воде с соленостью 35 %. Установлено нелинейное увеличение растворимости фосфатов U(VI) при снижении кислотности морской воды. Это обусловлено образованием прочных гидроксильных, карбонатных и, возможно, фосфатных комплексов. Определена зависимость кинетики растворимости от величины pH морской воды. Предполагается, что U(VI) может накапливаться в морских фосфоритах в результате хемосорбции в форме поверхностных уранилфосфатных комплексовAdditional details
