Porous media modelling of compact heat exchanger
- 1. Huazhong Univ. of Science and Technology, Wuhan (China)

Description
The flow in compact heat exchanger is three-dimensional because of the spacing slats and so on. For the solution of Navier-Stokes equation, it is quite difficult to give correct boundary and initial conditions of the problem, To overcome this, concepts of distributed resistance and porous media assumption have been introduced for modelling the compact heat exchanger. The basic approach leading to the establishment of the porous media modelling of compact heat exchanger has been presented
