Description
Considering the safety features of different types of reactors, different methods of dividing plume emergency planning zone (PEPZ) were compared and analyzed, and then systematically classified according to the reactor types. The applicable methods of dividing PEPZ for different reactor types were proposed. Finally, the methods were preliminary applied taking the High-Temperature gas-cooled Reactor-Pebble bed Module (HTR-PM) as an example. The preliminary study results show that, the site boundary of HTR-PM meet the criteria of dividing PEPZ, and compared with the large light water reactors, its PEPZ can be significantly decreased.
