Method for production of sup(99m)Tc-sulphur colloid

Description
A method is described of producing sup(99m)Tc-labelled sulfur colloid suitable for human medicine applications. The sulfur colloid is produced from thiosulfate by the action of hydrochloric acid in the presence of gelatin and phosphate buffer. The addition of a chelating agent into the reaction mixture prevents colloid flocculation during preparation which otherwise occurs due to the action of multivalent cations. (L.K.)
